Coaxial Cables
Wilson 951120 10' RG58U Coax Cable. This 10 ft cable is
RG58U type with N Male to FME Female connectors. The loss over the whole cable
run is -1dB.
RG58U cable is versatile cable designed to be used for cable lengths up to 20ft.
It is most commonly used for in-vehicle repeater kits, and the connectors are
designed so the cable can go between mobile amplifier and mobile antenna.
Although this antenna is slightly higher loss the difference over 20ft lengths
is very small.
For cable lengths longer than 20ft you will need LMR-400 coaxial cable. This
cable has N-male terminated ends, designed for our residential amplifiers. If
are using it with a mobile/vehicle amplifier, you might need some
Cable connectors.
Uses:
Coaxial cables are most commonly used in wireless repeater kits. In wireless
kits cable is placed between the external antenna and amplifier, and between the
amplifier and the internal antenna. For repeater kits where you can customize
the cable length, please see our Repeater Kits page.
You can also use coaxial cable to attach your phone directly to a
Cellular
antenna.
Remember: Coaxial cable attenuates the cellular signal. In order to improve
performance use the smallest cable length possible.
